this is how i think the conversation happened…
Deborah Harry: Guys! GUYS!! i just wrote an awesome rap for that new song we’ve been working on!
other member of Blondie: what, for Rapture? sweeeet! what’s it about??
DH: It’s about a man from Mars who starts eating cars. all kind of cars: Cadillacs, Lincolns.. you name it!.. even SUBARUS! Pretty awesome, right?! And get this. He eventually runs out of cars and starts eating bars. You know, like where people meet!
M or B: umm… (then silence)
DH: No, really, it’s going to be great.. you just have to hear it with the melody
M of B: …..
DH: and, you know, we’ll shoot a video to help flesh out the story line
